Post-Operative Analgesia Options

This lecture will explore options for post-operative pain control. Different modalities will be discussed including drug therapy options, physical therapies, and new treatment options to help keep your patients comfortable. We will discuss ways to implement pain scoring in your practice to help guide analgesic treatment. Case studies will be presented to better illustrate specific protocols for optimal multimodal analgesia.

Tasha McNerney CVT, CVPP, VTS (Anesthesia)

Tasha has worked as a CVT at Rau Animal Hospital in Glenside, PA for 14 years as an O.R. / Anesthesia technician. In 2015 Tasha became a Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner, and together with the IVAPM created the Pet Pain Awareness campaign which has designated September as the month for animal pain awareness and prevention. In 2016 Tasha received her VTS in Anesthesia.
